About
I’m Kevin Southworth, co-founder of Web Ascender and Vice President of Development and Operations. I hold a degree in Computer Science and am a proud Michigan State University alumnus (Go Green!).
My focus is on custom software development — building web apps and mobile apps for clients who are trying to achieve something that hasn’t been done before, or solve a problem where an off-the-shelf solution simply doesn’t exist.
Most of the time I’m working with established businesses looking to create a better customer experience, improve an internal process, decrease costs, or increase value for themselves or their customers. Occasionally I get to work with small teams and startups who are trying to change the world with a new idea or product — those projects are some of my favorites.
I have an intense curiosity for all things technology and a passion for finding creative technical solutions. (I also have a well-documented passion for cheesy sci-fi and action movies.)
Outside of work, my wife Angie and I do our best to keep up with a busy family schedule of soccer practices and dance conventions for our two daughters. In the summer, you’ll find the whole family adventuring on a lake or a sand dune in northern Michigan.
